Local Panchayat member found dead in Uttar Pradesh

Sultanpur, Sep 11 (UNI) The body of a local Panchayat member was found hanging from a tree in the Lambhua Kotwali area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.

The body of Prateek Singh aka Sheru (25), resident of Chaukiya village, was found hanging from the tree on Tuesday.

Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body, bearing bruises, for post-mortem.

Further investigation will be done after post-mortem report is received, police added.
