LJP planning to contest 119 assembly seats in Bihar

Patna/UNI: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), an ally of National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is preparing to contest 119 assembly seats in the assembly elections of Bihar.

A review meeting of the party was held here on Monday in the presence of Lok Sabha MP from Samastipur Prince Raj and party MLA Raju Tiwari.

In this meeting, the party identified 119 constituencies out of the total 243 assembly seats where the party had its stronghold.

In the meeting, names of two candidates at each of the identified seats would be proposed before the board for the selection of the candidate, sources said.

After carefully reviewing and analyzing the scenario of the identified assembly seats, it was decided to update the membership as constitute booth level committees there.

The leaders of the LJP also discussed the ongoing preparation for the proposed rally of the party to be held on April 14 at the historic Gandhi Maidan of Patna.
