The rally was scheduled to be held at 3 pm. on Feb 21 from Mahajati Sadan  to Vasha Uddyan in Kolkata but due to the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi it was rescheduled at 12 noon same day.

After meeting 13 Left parties, LF chairman Biman Bose earlier in afternoon announced to organize the rally and requested all other Left parties of the state and all democracy lovers to join the march here.

The rally will now begin from Surendranath Park and conclude at Mahajati Sadan in the city.

PM Narendra Modi will be coming to Kolkata on that day to inaugurate the three-year long centenary celebration of the Gaudiya Math and Mission.
