Lalu Prasad's RJD announces support to JD-U
The RJD chief said the parties have joined hands to keep the "communal forces" led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at bay.
"Our party will support JD-U to keep away communal forces from Bihar," Lalu Prasad told media.
Jitan Ram Manjhi was sworn in as the 25th Chief Minister of Bihar on Tuesday.
Governor D.Y. Patil administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy to Manjhi at a function at the Rajbhawan here.
A total of 17 ministers also took oath along with Manjhi.
Ending his eight and a half years stint, Nitish Kumar officially stepped down as the Chief Minister of Bihar while the JD-U announced the name of Manjhi for the top post in the state.
