New Delhi, Dec 2 (IBNS) Singer Kumar Shanu on Tuesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi in the presence of the party's chief Amit Shah.

After joining the party, Shanu said there would be change in West Bengal and said with a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi, who himself works so hard, everyone would be bound to work.

He also sang a few lines of his popular songs, including a patriotic number.

"I am a big fan of Modiji. I love the way he works. If I can serve by working with Modi-ji and Amit Bhai (Amit Shah), I would be grateful," said Shanu.

"Only Modi can save India. He said he would not let anyone take bribe," said Shanu.

Shanu's joining of BJP has been preceded by the joining of other popular Bollywood singers and musicians like Babul Supriyo and Bappi Lahiri.

Babool Supriyo won the Asansol seat in Lok Sabha polls and has been made a minister too.
