Kolkata/IBNS: A young woman was allegedly robbed and gang-raped by dacoits inside her residence in Kolkata's Garden Reach area on Tuesday, reports said on Wednesday.

According to reports, the 26-year-old woman claimed that she was alone at her flat in Garden Reach's Paharpur Road area on Tuesday afternoon when a group of burglars entered her residence and robbed.

Besides robbing cash and jewellery worth Rs. 15 lakh, the burglars allegedly tied the woman with ropes and gang-raped her.
