Kolkata, Feb 15 (IBNS): One person was shot on Monday morning when few miscreants fired gunshots aiming at him in front of Kolkata's prestigious Loreto School at Convent Road under Entally Police Station area, police officials said.

According to reports, at least two miscreants came to the spot on a motorcycle and fire gunshots aiming at another miscreant Bachcha Kaloo at around 9:30 am.

Kaloo was shot and has been taken to a nearby hospital.

The bikers fled from the spot.

"This incident might be an outcome of a tussle between two criminal groups. The attackers have been identified as Bablu and Elu. We have seized their motorcycle from Park Circus area. Our Anti Rowdy Squad has started search operation to find them. We hope they will be arrested soon. We have begun investigation into the matter," one senior official of Kolkata Police told IBNS.

Few days earlier, one man was stabbed to death in daylight on Feb 5 in front of Calcutta Girls High School in central Kolkata.
