Kolkata: Minor fire breaks out at Nabanna, brought under control

Kolkata, Mar 2 (IBNS): A minor fire broke out on Wednesday in the room of West Bengal Agriculture Minister Purnendu Basu at state's main administrative building Nabanna in Kolkata, reports said.

According to reports, a fire suddenly broke out in Purnendu Basu's office, when he was outside, on Wednesday noon. Before firefighters reached there.

Nabanna staffers brought the fire under control in few minutes using their own fire extinguishing system.

However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

Fire officials said that the minor fire might have started due to short circuit.

The fire department has started investigation to know the exact cause of the fire.
