Kolkata: Fire breaks out in a multi-storey near Park Street, no casualty

Kolkata, Jan 25 (IBNS): A major fire broke out in a multi-storey building at Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road in Kolkata on Wednesday, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first seen at around 10:45 am. on the third floor of a building.

As many as four fire tender engines rushed to the spot and firefighters fought for nearly half an hour to bring the blaze under control.

However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

After preliminary investigation, fire officials said that third floor of the building was used as clothes' godown and the fire might have started due to a shot circuit.

However, police and fire department have begun probe into the matter.
