Kolkata: Fire breaks out at Sealdah factory

Kolkata, Jan 29 (IBNS): A massive fire broke out in a factory at Munsirbazar area on South Sealdah Road in north Kolkata on Sunday afternoon, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first seen at around 3 pm. in the factory, where umbrella parts and plastic boxes were made, and it spread quickly to another warehouse nearby.

As many as 18 fire tender engines, police and Disaster Management Group (DMG) personnel rushed to the scene and firefighting operation is currently underway.

As the area is very congested, all nearby buildings and shanties have been evacuated.

However, no casualty has been reported so far.
