| @indiablooms | Oct 11, 2022, at 09:55 pm

Thiruvalla: In a shocking case of alleged human sacrifice for financial gain and prosperity, two women were murdered at Elanthoor in Pathanamthitta district.

Police on Tuesday said the two women, who were reportedly missing from Kaladi and Kadavanthra in Kochi for the last few months, have been found murdered.

A couple and an agent were taken into custody in connection with the incident by the police.

They were identified as Vaidyan Bhagawal Singh, his wife Laila, and their agent Muhammad Shihab, a native of Perumbavoor.

With the help of the agent in Perumbavoor, the women were brought to Tiruvalla and murdered by slitting their throats believing that they would bring wealth and prosperity.

The two victims, said to be in their early 50s, had gone missing in September and June this year.

After the murder, the bodies of both were buried. This is the first time that such a human sacrifice has been reported in Kerala.
