Kejriwal slams Modi govt's maiden budget

New Delhi, July 10 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday slammed Narendra Modi government's maiden Union Budget calling it a directionless one with no steps taken to bring down inflation in the country.
"People expected that inflation would be brought down as promised by Narendra Modiji before coming to power. In the last one and half month, we saw no such improvement. People lastly hoped that this budget would curb the prise rise and bring down inflation but the Union Budget remained silent on the issue," Kejriwal told mediapersons.

"The budget showed no path to curb corruption," he said.

The former Delhi Chief Minister said, "No steps were taken to increase employment or to improve the education system in the country."

He said that, "After today's budget, the hope of 'achhe din' (good days) got slashed."

"There is no difference between the UPA and the Modi government's budget," the AAP convenor said.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented his maiden Union Budget in the Parliament on Thursday.
