Srinagar, July 19 (IBNS) A teenager boy was killed in South Kashmir’s Khudwani area of Kulgam Town, 30 km from Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar after men in uniform opened fire on protesters rallying against Israel's offensive in Gaza.

According to eyewitness, people of Khudwani and other adjoining areas were protesting against “Israel” when security forces opened fire on protesters to disperse them which resulted in critical bullet injures to at least three persons. Among them one of the youth, namely Suhail Ahmad Lone, (16), died on spot.

Meanwhile, Police expressed a grief over the incident.

“An unfortunate incident of firing has taken place in Khudwani Kulgam in which one boy namely Suhail Ahmad Son of Gulam Qadir lone resident of Mishipora Howoora Kulgam lost his life,” a police handout said.

The circumstances leading to the incident of firing are being inquired into. Police has registered an FIR in the incident and the matter is being probed.
