Kashmir police arrests Whatsapp group for rumour mongering

Srinagar, Aug 13 (IBNS) Police in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday booked three WhatsApp group admins for airing rumours and fabricated information to the people.
 Police said it has registered FIRs under section 66/IT Act in P S Budgam, in P S Baramulla and in P S Pulwama and booked three WhatsApp group admins Javed Ahmad, Syed Tahir Bukhari and Raja Hilal from Budgam, Baramulla and Pulwama respectively for airing rumours and fabricated information that could create disturbances and vitiate peace.
 
The police spokesman aid investigation into various updates and posts that have surfaced on the WhatsApp and other social Networking sites is going on. More arrests are expected.
