At the outset of the programme, the students of college performed the Hamud Bari Tallah and Qawali songs.

Principal of the Government College for Women, Prof Dr Naseem Aman, stressed the relevance of the teachings of Shaikh-ul-Aalam (RA) and Lal Ded.

Vice-Chancellor of the Cluster University in Srinagar, Prof. DR. Qayyum Hussain, said although ‘Alamdar-e-Kashmir’ and Lal Ded belong to Kashmir, their message is universal.

For the empowerment and development of Kashmiri youth through education, he said the Cluster University will introduce job oriented courses.
