Bengaluru: Four schools here received bomb threats through email on Friday, triggering panic.

"Four schools have received the threat. The police have been pressed into service to find out if bombs have been planted," Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant told reporters here.

Among the schools that have received the threat are Ebenezer and Vincent Pallotti international schools.

"A powerful bomb has been planted in your school. It is not a joke. A very powerful bomb has been planted in your school. Immediately call the police and sappers. Otherwise, hundreds of lives may suffer, including yours. Don't delay. Everything is in your hands," identical emails sent to the schools read.
