Kamla Beniwal sacked as Governor of Mizoram

New Delhi, Aug 6 (IBNS) In yet another reshuffle of Governors, former Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal was sacked as the Governor of Mizoram on Wednesday.

Governor of Manipur   Vinod Kumar Duggal  will hold the additional charge of Mizoram until regular arrangements are made.

"The President has directed that Dr. (Smt.) Kamla shall cease to hold the office of the Governor of Mizoram and has appointed Shri Vinod Kumar Duggal, Governor of Manipur, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Mizoram, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Mizoram are made," read a Press Communique issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.

On July 6, Beniwal was transferred as the Governor of Mizoram for the rest of her term from Gujarat.
