Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar sworn in as new Chief Justice of India
New Delhi, Jan 4 (IBNS): Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar on Wednesday was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of India.
Following his swearing in ceremony, Justice Khehar became the 44th Chief Justice of the nation.
He is also the first CJI from the Sikh community.
Justice Khehar succeeded T S Thakur as CJI.
