J&K: BSF jawan opens fire outside CM's residence

Srinagar, Nov 17 (IBNS) Security forces, that are deployed outside the residence of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at Gupkar Srinagar city, fired some shots in the air on Monday.

No casualty has been reported so far.

According to reports, a Border Security Force constable Krist Gosh, who is posted, at the chief minister's residence fired some shots from his refile and created panic in the area.

A police officer told IBNS that soon after the incident special operation group arrested the BSF personnel and handed him over to the Kashmir Police for further investigation

Meanwhile,  CM Omar Abdullah tweeted: "Not withstanding today's incident with the BSF jawan stationed at my residence in Srinagar today I have full confidence in my security team."
