J&K: BSF jawan killed in ceasefire violation in Samba

Samba, Dec 31 (IBNS): At least one Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed in an unprovoked firing by Pakistan Rangers on the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, reports said.

Four Pakistan Rangers were reportedly killed as the BSF opened retaliatory fire.

"BSF Director General DK Pathak has briefed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh," NDTV reported quoting sources.

"Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing on the Regal border outpost of BSF in Samba district of Jammu region," a senior police officer  in Jammu told the news channel.
