JK AUTOX WOMEN: Kashmir Valley hosts first-ever women-only motorsports event

| @indiablooms | Oct 23, 2023, at 07:11 pm

JK AUTOX WOMEN,  the first-ever Women-Only Autocross event of Jammu and Kashmir, was recently hosted in the Kashmir Valley.

The event was held with the intention of challenging norms and champion women's empowerment in motorsports.

Several women drivers made their strong mark in the event.

"The motive of this rally is to bust the myth that women are not the best drivers. People say women don't drive well. But if we can run houses, and offices then why can't we drive vehicles? This rally serves as a reminder to respect women drivers," Muskan, a participant told ANI.

This event is the result of an exceptional collaboration between the Jammu and Kashmir Motor Sports Federation (JKMSF), Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), and FMSCIWEM, organizations dedicated to promoting motorsports and empowering women, the Indian news agency reported.
