Jharkhand: 3 Maoists arrested by Palamu Police with arms in Daltonganj

Daltonganj/UNI: Police has arrested three ultras belonging to the proscribed CPI Maoists from Panki Police station area of the Palamu district alongwith arms.

Palamu SP Ajay Linda said, police had received a tip off that hardcore ultra Sandeep Yadav alongwith his associates was moving around Hedum village under Panki Police station area after which a special team swung into action and arrested the three maoists.

The arrested have been identified as Sandeep Yadav alias Kaila Yadav, Shambu Yadav and Ajay Yadav. From them, a 09mm carbine, a magazine and 91 cartridges of 09mm was recovered.

Sandeep Yadav had joined the ranks of the Maoists in the year 2010. A total of 10 cases are registered against him including 9 in Palamu and 1 in Latehar.

On the other hand, 6 cases are registered against Shambhu Yadav including 5 in Palamu and 1 in Latehar while a case has been registered against Ajay Yadav at Panki Police Station.
