Tokyo/Nagoya, Apr 9 (IBNS): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje called on the Vice Governor, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Nobuhiro Maeda, here on Thursday.
The Vice Governor said that the city of Tokyo was willing to share its knowledge with others and would be happy to help cities in Rajasthan in urban management.
Raje is in Japan to launch the global road-show for the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit to be held on November 19-20 this year in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit, scheduled to be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India on November 19-20, 2015, will bring together leading investors from all over the world for interacting with policy makers, including the political leadership, government officials and local business leaders on the investment environment and opportunities in Rajasthan

The Chief Minister and the Rajasthan saw how sewerage was being treated and the space-use compartmentalised to create parking lots, recreation centres and play-grounds above the sedimentation tanks. The recycled water was being put through a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant and was being pumped to amusement centres for children. The sludge, after incineration, was being used to make interlocking tiles, artefacts and mementos.
Raje commented, “It is high time similar initiatives were undertaken in cities in Rajasthan.”
Later the same day, the Chief Minister, accompanied by the Rajasthan business delegation, travelled to Nagoya by Shinkansen (Bullet Train). Japan Rail authorities showed her the features of the trains, such as its speed, which can reach up to 320 Km/hour and its turn-around time management system.
