Jammu and Kashmir: School Principal dies in road mishap in Reasi

Jammu/UNI: The Principal of a government school on Tuesday died in a road mishap when his car skidded off and plunged into a deep gorge in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said that a car (JK02BV-2277) this morning skidded and rolled down into 300 feet deep gorge near Tejhar Chassana area resulting into the death of one person namely Mukhtar Ahmed (58), son of Haji Abdul Rashid of Channa Sungari, Tehsil Chassana.

He was recently promoted and posted as Principal Government Higher Secondary School Channa, police said.

Station House Officer, Police Station Chassana, Sumit Sharma confirmed about the incident to UNI and said, "On getting information, police teams immediately swung into action and recused the Principal but he succumbed on way to the hospital."
