Srinagar: Security forces arrested four militant associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said on Tuesday.

The arrests were made in the Beerwah area of Budgam by a joint team of Police and Army’s 62 Rashtriya Rifles.

The four were identified by police as Mushtaq Ahmad Lone of Gondipora Beerwah, Azhar Ahmad Mir of Chewdara Beerwah, Irfan Ahmad Sofi and Abrar Ahmad Malik- both residents of Arwah Beerwah.

“They were linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT,” police said.

They said incriminating materials have been recovered from their possession.

Police said a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation has been taken up.
