Jammu and Kashmir: Hundreds attend last rites of Bindroo killed by terrorist in Srinagar

Srinagar/UNI: Cutting across party lines, leaders of different political parties, besides a large number of common people, on Wednesday attended last rites of famous chemist Makhan Lal Bindroo, who was killed by terrorists at his Iqbal Park shop last evening.

Meanwhile, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Mayor Junaid Azim Matto announced that the road from Haft Chinar to Jehangir Chowk will be named “Shaheed Makhan Lal Bindroo road” as a tribute to his contribution to society.

Former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, Provincial president National Conference (NC) Jammu Devender Singh Rana, Apni Party (AP) president Altaf Bukhari, SMC Mayor Matto and other politicians visited the house of Bindroo and expressed their condolence.

However, large number of common people, belonging to all faiths and regions of the valley attended the last rites of Bindroo.
