Jammu/UNI: A gunfight reportedly broke out between terrorists and the security forces on Mughal Road in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources said that an encounter has reportedly broken out between a group of terrorists and security forces at Chatta-Pani area on the Mughal Road.

A Cordon and Search Operation was earlier launched by security forces in areas along Mughal Road which resulted into contact with the hiding terrorists, they added.

“A contact has been established and a brief encounter triggered,” sources said.

They said that three terrorists are likely trapped in the operation in the Surankote area which is covered under snowmaking the operation too difficult.
