Jammu and Kashmir: DC Shopian flags-off 30 students for Trekking Expedition to Pahalgam

New Delhi: District Development Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin Fridayflagged off a group of 30 students for a trekking expedition from Mini Secretariat Arhamahere.

The student trekkers from various schools of the district are scheduled to participate inthe camp organised by Youth Services and Sports Shopian for a period of 6 dayscommencing from today and culminating on 14th of Oct, 2020.While interacting with the students, the DDC urged them to take advantage of the tripand strictly follow all the instructions of the trainers.

He advised the student group to imbibe the qualities of leadership and initiative in lifeand asked them to go through the history of world famous tourist resort Pahalgam andother adjoining adventurous places.

The DDC also urged them to keep the environment neat and clean and desist fromthrowing polythene and other things that pollutes the environment.

The DDC directed the organisers to provide enough sanitizers and other medicines to thetrekkers during the camp.District Youth Service & Sports Officer Gurmukh Singh, other concerned officers andofficials were present on the occasion.
