Jaipur: 8 killed in road accident on way to Kumbh Mela

Jaipur: Eight people were killed in a road accident near Mokhampura in Rajasthan’s Jaipur while they were traveling to attend the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

The accident occurred on National Highway 48 when the car lost control after a tyre burst, causing it to jump the divider and crash head-on into a roadways bus.

The victims, all passengers in the car, were on their way to the Kumbh Mela.

The 44-day Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 began on January 13 and will end on February 26, on the day of Maha Shivaratri.
