The CMs wanted officials of both the states to work out schemes to ensure irrigation and drinking water for everyone.
The meeting decided to set up a committee comprising officials of both the states to come up with proposals on how and from which point the Godavari water should be diverted.

After the receipt of the report from the committee, further action would be taken.

At a joint press conference after the meeting held nearly five hours, Telangana and AP ministers Eatala Rajender and B.Rajendra Reddy said that the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.
