INX Media case: Delhi HC rejects P Chidambaram's bail plea
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday rejected the bail plea of former union finance minister P Chidambaram in the INX Media case.
The Congress leader was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation 40 days ago from his Jor Bagh house in the national capital in the INX Media case.
Chidambaram is in jail for allegedly committing corruption by facilitating a huge flow of foreign funds to INX media when he was the finance minister. He was sent to Tihar jail on September 5.
The CBI has also laid allegations on Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram for receiving huge kickbacks for facilitating the deal.
