Washington/IBNS: Daughter of US President Donald Trump-Ivanka- praised an Indian girl who cycled almost 1,200 km with her father as pillion to reach home.

Praising Jyoti Kumari, Ivanka tweeted: "15 yr old Jyoti Kumari, carried her wounded father to their home village on the back of her bicycle covering +1,200 km over 7 days.

This beautiful feat of endurance & love has captured the imagination of the Indian people and the cycling federation!"

Bihar native Jyoti visited her father Mohan Paswan in Gurgaon in March, media reports said.

It was that time of the month when the Indian government imposed the nationwide lockdown to fight COVID-19.

However, Mohan was hurt in an accident and with situations becoming tough due to lockdown, Jyoti decided to head back to her hometown Darbhanga in Bihar.

With no train or other vehicle available on the road due to lockdown, riding a cycle, Jyoti carried her father to Bihar.
