New Delhi, Jan 16 (IBNS): The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) summoned the Pakistan High Commission official on Wednesday and lodged a strong protest over the death of an innocent civilian in unprovoked ceasefire violation by the neighbouring country's forces on Jan 11, 2019 in Sunderbani Sector.

"Our strong concerns were also shared at continued unprovoked firing and ceasefire violations across the Line of Control and the International Boundary," the MEA statement read.

The Ministry said that India protested against Pakistan's constant cross border terrorist infiltration.

"We also protested Pakistan’s continued support to cross border terrorist infiltration into India, including supporting cover fire provided by Pakistan forces," the statement said.
