India-Sri Lanka World Cup match: Plane with 'Justice for Kashmir' banner flies over Headingley
Leeds, July 6 (IBNS): Two planes, carrying messages on the issue of 'Kashmir', flew over the Headingley stadium on Saturday when the World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka is being played.
According to reports published by The New Indian Express news paper, the India-Sri Lanka match was in its early stages when an aircraft flew by with a balloon kind of a thing attached to it which read “Justice for Kashmir”.

The area around the stadium is said to be no-flight zone.

A little while later, another plane flew over the stadium with a political message attached to it which read “India stop genocide and free Kashmir.”
The ICC said they were disappointed by the incident.
"We are incredibly disappointed this has happened again. We do not condone any sort of political messages at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Throughout the tournament, we have worked with local police forces around the country to prevent this type of protest occurring. After the previous incident we were assured by West Yorkshire Police there would not be repeat of this issue, so we are very dissatisfied it has happened again," the cricket council said in a statement as quoted by the media.
A few days ago during the Pakistan-Afghanistan match, there was another aircraft flying by with the words “Justice for Baluchistan”, reported the newspaper.
The International Cricket Council follows zero tolerance policy towards racist and political messages.
