Guwahati, Apr 5 (IBNS): While Beijing has opposed Dalai Lama's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, the Tibetan spiritual leader on Wednesday emphatically said that India has never used him against China.

"India has never used me against China. I am just a messenger with ancient Indian thoughts and wherever I go, I only talk about ahingsa, peace and harmony," Dalai Lama said while speaking with media.

"I am a Buddhist and the entire Himalayan region traditionally followed Buddhist dharma," he said.

"When I first reached India entering through Arunachal Pradesh, I got freedom. India has taken care me. Since 1959, I am staying here as a longest guest. I would like to thank the government of India," he said.
