New Delhi/IBNS: Amid the hostile relationship between the two Asian giants, India on Monday banned 54 more Chinese applications or apps that allegedly pose threats to the country's national security, media reports said.

The list of the banned apps include Sweet Selfie HD, Beauty Camera - Selfie Camera, Garena Free Fire - Illuminate, Viva Video Editor.

"These 54 apps allegedly obtain various critical permissions and collects sensitive user data. These collected real-time data are being misused and transmitted to servers located in hostile country," the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said as quoted by NDTV.

India has banned 321 apps since the relationship between India and China deteriorated after the Galwan Valley clash which occurred in 2020.

At least 20 Indian soldiers were killed in the clash which occurred between the Indian and Chinese soldiers at Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh in mid June.
