India and China sign 24 agreements worth 10 billion dollars

Beijing, May 15 (IBNS) India and China have signed 24 agreements worth about 10 billion dollars as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a three-day visit is expected to seek support for his 'Make in India' initiative while inviting Chinese investment in India.
 
Reports said Modi, who is in Bejing on Friday held talks with Chinese premier Li Kengiang after receiving r a ceremonial welcome at the Great Hall of People.
 
Reports said delegation level talks are being held between the two countries on issues of mutual interest, including boundary disputes and the trade imbalance in China's favour.
 
"PM @narendramodi dominates news coverage in China on day 2 of his visit," tweeted foreign ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup, attaching a collage of front page coverage in China of PM Modi's visit to Xian, the hometown of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
 
Modi began his three-day China visit on Thursday in Xian, where he was hosted by President Xi. 
 
Modi was the first world leader to be hosted outside Beijing. Last year he had hosted Mr Xi in his home state Gujarat.
 
"This is an honour to 125 crore Indians whom I am representing as Prime Minister," said PM Modi in Hindi after a warm welcome by Xi.
