Inauguration of Post Office Passport Seva Kendra at Malda on February

Kolkata, Feb 14 (IBNS): A Post Office Passport Seva Kendra will be inaugurated at Mukdumpur Post Office, Maldah on Feb 23, 2018. 

Though it was earlier scheduled to be opened on Feb 21, 2018, the date has been deferred following a request of MP, Maldah, Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury.

The Regional Passposrt Officer Bibhuti Bhusan Kumar, informed that the POPSK at Mukdumpur of Englishbazar, Maldah is being opened for the benefit of passport seeking applicants residing in the district of Maldah.

The applicants who have submitted their application online will only be entertained in this POPSK and they are requested to bring the online Application Reference Number (ARN) sheets along with other necessary documents of identity proof, address proof and proof of date of birth (Original and self-attested photo copies).

Detailed information of the documents required can be obtained from the website www.passportindia.gov.in. 10 appointments will be entertained on 23.02.2018 at 1500 hrs onwards and 20 appointments will be entertained from the next working day i.e. 26.02.2018.

Appointments for the same will be released on the website www.passportindia.gov.in from 19.02.2018 at 1530 hrs onwards. The applicants have to pay the passport fees through online payment system.

Kumar has also requested the intending passport seekers to note that only those applicants who have obtained appointments through the online mode (www.passportindia.gov.in) will be entertained. Tatkaal, on-Hold files, walk-in and PCC applications will not be accepted and processed at POPSK Maldah.
