New Delhi, Jun 13 (UNI): Members of Resident Doctors' Association of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday announced a complete shutdown against "worsening of violence against medical doctors in West Bengal."

'Friends medical profession is undergoing medical emergency and we have to do immediate intervention. Now no more cosmetic changes like Facebook posts, whatsapp cries and DP changes. AIIMS RDA has decided to shutdown AIIMS New Delhi on June 14 to awaken the government,' a statement by the RDA said.

The AIIMS RDA requested all medical colleges and hospitals to strike on Friday and help for complete shutdown of all healthcare services in India. 'Your one day of solidarity will bring bright days for profession. We must forget all our differences and stop protesting in small small groups. We need to unite and strike together to bring healthcare services back on track.

It’s a fight for our dignity and we won’t compromise now. We want Central Protection Act,' the RDA said.
