IAF helicopter crashes in Uttarakhand, no casualties

New Delhi, Mar 15 (IBNS) : An Indian Air Force helicopter on Wednesday crashed near the Mana Pass in Uttarakhand while making an emergency landing during a military drill, media reports said.

No casualties have been reported in the accident as both the pilots are reported to be safe.

According to reports, the Mi17 V5 helicopter crashed shortly after it took off from Ghastoli helipad.

The incident occurred after the helicopter developed a technical snag and the pilot tried to make an emergency landing.

The army and the IAF were participating in a joint military exercise as part of  a week-long war exercise..
