IAF cycling expedition flagged in at Guwahati air force station

Guwahati/IBNS: A 30 members Cycle expedition organised by the Eastern Air Command of the Indian Air Force was flagged in by Air Marshal RD Mathur, AOC-in-C Eastern Air Command at Air Force Station in Guwahati on Wednesday.

The Expedition was organised as part of Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Eastern Air Command.

The Air Warrior from different bases was divided into three teams which commenced the expedition from Purnea, Chabua and Shillong.

The team were led by Group Captain Rajdeep Singh, Flight Lieutenant K Wisdom and Group Captain R Rex. Enroute the team interacted with students and motivated them to join the Armed Forces.

Eastern Air Command was raised 60 years ago and has grown through battles.

Over the years, the command has impressively contributed towards National Security and also in various Humanitarian and Disaster Rescue operation in the region.
