I am a Thakur: HDFC Bank employee 'verbally abuses' customer in viral video

A private bank employee was allegedly caught on camera verbally abusing a customer, sparking widespread condemnation for her act.

According to media reports, the incident occurred at a branch of HDFC Bank in Kanpur city.

In the video, the woman bank employee could be seen arguing with an account holder following a complaint.

Invoking her caste, the woman, who repeatedly used foul language during the heated conversation, said: "I am a Thakur."

Several co-bankers could be seen trying to control the situation.

The video has now been widely circulated online.

The bank has not issued any official statement on the incident so far.
