Humbly accept people's verdict: Rahul Gandhi after Congress' defeat in all states

| @indiablooms | Mar 10, 2022, at 11:37 pm

New Delhi/IBNS: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has "humbly accepted" the verdict of all five states where his party failed miserably in the Feb-Mar elections.

Gandhi tweeted, "Humbly accept the people’s verdict. Best wishes to those who have won the mandate. My gratitude to all Congress workers and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. We will learn from this and keep working for the interests of the people of India."

In Uttar Pradesh, which saw the return of the BJP to power, the Congress could win only two seats in the 403-seat assembly.

The shock for the Congress came from Punjab which routed the grand old party voting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to power.

In Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand too, the Congress have failed to put up an impressive performance.
