Himachal Pradesh: Three killed, 1 injured in separate road accidents

Shimla, Oct 28 (UNI):  As many as three people were killed while one other sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Kullu and Sirmaur here in last 24 hrs.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that a truck fell down near Rahaninalah on Manali-Leh Highway killing two occupants on the spot on Sunday evening.

Deceased were identified as Tikesh Kumar (24) resident of Karsog and Dinesh Bhardwaj (48) resident of Purnabazar Sundernagar Mandi district.

In another case, a car hit bike at Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur to Chandigarh-Dehradun National Highway 7 near Puruwala last evening.

The couple riding the bike were returning home after Deepawali shopping, husband succumbed to injuries on the spot, while wife was rushed to PGI Chandigarh.

"Driver, who has been arrested for rash driving, escaped unhurt as the air bag came out on time," said police.
