Hema Malini's driver arrested for negligent driving
The incident took place near Dausa in Rajasthan on Thursday while she was on her way to Jaipur.
Hema Malini was admitted to a local hospital with injuries. She is stated to be out of danger.
Rajasthan Minister Rajpal Singh who visited Hema Malini said she has not suffered any serious injuries but will be undergoing a plastic surgery to fix tissue damage above her eyebrow.
"Injuries are not serious the CAT scan reports said there is no injury in brain and there is no spinal injury but there is small cut on forehead and doctors do plastic surgery. Three more people were there in car but they are safe," Singh said.
There were five occupants in the Alto car - 2 women, 2 children and a man. A 5-year old girl child in the Alto car died in the accident while two of the remaining survivors were seriously injured.
Besides the driver and Hema Malini, two other persons were reported to be travelling with her in the star's luxury vehicle.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje expressed grief at the mishap. She tweeted:"Deeply saddened by the news of Dausa accident. I pray for the victims. We're making all efforts to provide immediate relief & medical care.
