Hathras: Victim's family refuses Narco test

Hathras/UNI: The Hathras victim's family on Saturday took a U-turn on their demand for a CBI probe and refused for a Narco test while expressing its opposition to the SIT probe.

The family members have opposed the SIT probe set up by the UP government but at the same time refused to undergo a Narco test.

"We want a probe by the supreme court as CBI probe could be influenced politically", said the victim's brother.

The family members were interacting with the media here after the district authorities lifted ban on media, after two days.

They alleged that the state police was hand in glove with the accused and hence have raised the issue of CBI probe and Narco test.

"We have not said anything untrue to the police and media so why should we face a Narco test," the sister-in-law and brother of the victim said.

The family was annoyed with the house arrest of the members for the last two days forcing them to keep their mobile phones switchted off.

They said they still could not believe that their daughter was cremated without their consent." We pleaded before the police to wait till morning for cremation, but our pleas fell on deaf ears and forcefully cremated the body," the father said.

They were apprehensive about the cremated body as they have not seen the face of the body.

The sister-in-law said that the DM told them that had the girl died of Corona, they would not have got such a hefty compensation. "The DM had warned us not to open our mouth before the media ," she alleged.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother was rushed to the district hospital after she complained of uneasiness.

Doctors attending on her said that her BP has shot up and she is being treated.

The statement of the victim's family comes after the accused family demanded a Narco test and a CBI probe .
