Gurugram: Two die as roof of building collapses

Gurugram: The roof of a building collapsed in Haryana's Gurugram area on Thursday which left at least two people dead, UNI reported.

The mishap occurred at Chintels Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram's Sector 109.

A room on the floor was under renovation and its drawing room floor collapsed.

The National Disaster Response Force is working to rescue the trapped people.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted that he is personally monitoring the situation.

He tweeted: "Administrative officials, along with SDRF and NDRF teams are busy in the rescue & relief work after the unfortunate collapse of the apartment roof at the Paradiso Housing Complex in Gurugram. I am personally monitoring the situation and I pray for everyone's safety."

Teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other rescue personnel have been sent to the spot.
