Gumla: 5 members of criminal gang arrested

Gumla, Mar 20 (UNI) Police has arrested 5 members of a criminal gang who were executing various incidents of crime along with their gang leader.

The arrested have been identified as Sarfaraz alias Dabloo alias Devraj, Ravi Sahu alias Model, Anish Khan, Aleem Ansari and Saiekdin Kachhap.

Gumla SP Chandan Kumar Jha today said, he had received a secret tip off that some criminals had gathered at Chhapar Toli and were planning to execute some crime after which a team conducted raids and arrested the culprits along with a loaded pistol.

The SP said, Ravi, Sarfarz and Anish have served prison term on past.

He said, currently the gang was involved in collecting extortion from businessmen and traders.
