Gujarat: Mob beats two people, one die

Vadodara, Oct 30 (UNI) One person died while another was injured when they were beaten by a mob on Wednesday in a village of central Gujarat, who suspected them to be thieves.

Police said that villagers in Chandranagar village under Savali police station of Vadodara district in Gujarat caught Kamlesh N Ganava and Dinesh V Parmar, both residents of neighbouring Dahod district early this morning suspecting them to be thieves.

The mod tied the duo around the tree and bet them, police said. Later they were admitted to hospital where Kamlesh (28) died. He was resident of Silokata village of Dahod.

Dinesh, a resident of Nigola village of the same district, was under treatment.

Police has not arrested any of the villagers. Detailed investigation was on.
