Grand talk, no traction! Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj suffers a total washout in Bihar elections

Patna/IBNS: In a setback to his poll debut, former political strategist Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) drew a blank in the Bihar assembly elections, which went to polls earlier this month.

Though the JSP was leading in three seats this morning, the gains faded soon after Modi-Nitish's power-packed show took the centre-stage as the NDA headed for a landslide victory.

Kishor, who had worked with top Indian politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past as a professional, is trolled by a section of netizens bringing up his claims ahead of the elections.

In one of his pre-poll interviews, Kishor had said he would either get less than 10 seats or over 150.

The JSP supremo, who held a massive padyatra across the state over the last years, had also claimed Nitish Kumar's JD(U) wouldn't win more than 25 seats.

As per the current trend of the results which are being declared on Friday, the NDA's lead has breached the 200-mark in a spectacular victory in the state where Nitish Kumar is eyeing his 10th term.

Battling with people's migration to other states for jobs, economic distress, Bihar handed over a massive blow to Mahagathbandhan, which is leading in mere 30 odd seats as the opposition coalition, led by RJD and Congress, suffered a freefall of leads since the morning.

Chirag Paswan's LJPRV, one of the constituents in the NDA, bagged over 20 seats establishing a strong presence in the ruling coalition.

Within NDA, BJP has emerged as the single largest party again with over 90 seats, JD(U) closely following in with more than 80 seats, LJPRV 20 and HAM 4.

RJD bagged close to 24 seats while Congress 2, CPI-ML and CPI-M bagged one each.
